It is very important for a Hospital like ours to keep most of it's databases On-line at the same time since many users are accessing it for different purposes.

PRESENT NETWORK SET - UP :

There is a HP-9000 D-Class server in the Computer Dept. There are 17 terminals installed in the various depts., which are connected to the Server , through Switches & Lansterm. There are Two Switches installed, one each in Computer dept, and Pharmacy Out Stores Dept. Both these Switches are 16 port with 10/100 mbps data transfer speed. There is One 16 port Lansterm in the Computer dept also.

The software used for programming is INFORMIX Ver 6.04 and the Operating System is HP-UX 10.10. The programming & the operating system software are installed in the Server. The INFORMIX, is 8 user license product. All the software programmes developed by the Computer dept personnel and the data entered in these software by the various dept is stored in the Server.

             a. 9.1 GB + 2.0 GB HDD
             b. 96 MB RAM
             c. Basic Line Support S/W
            d. Y2K Updates S/W

4. Connecting Software
    ( Netreach Software, 1 User & LWP on Nodes)
6. LanSterm

INFORMIX 4GL RDS – VERSION 6.04 ( 7 USERS)

During the year 1996 – 2005 following In -House software development projects were completed by WHIPS.

      1)      In – Patient Billing System(Accounts Module).
      2)      On-line Drug Store Inventory Control System.
      3)      Central Medical Store Inventory Control System.
      4)      Engineering Store Inventory Control System.
      5)      Personnel Information System.
      6)      Employees Leave Record Maintenance System.
      7)      Payroll System.
      8)      PF –Accounting System.
      9)      Patient Admissions and Medical Records System.
    10) Unit wise Income and Expenditure Module.
    11) OPD Cash Counter Entries.
    12) Telephone Billing Entries.
