A TRAINING INSTITUTE PROVIDING MORE THAN BASIC MEDICAL EDUCATION.

In addition to providing practical teaching to the medical students in all of the basic

Clinical subjects, most of the departments of Wanless Hospital, Miraj Medical Centre (WH MMC) are recognized by the University for postgraduate residency training leading to qualifications in various specialities. It also runs post-graduate diplomas conducted by National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, and College of Physicians and Surgeons of Bombay, to help the medical students to pursue further studies in their respective fields.

Miraj Medical Centre’s Institute of Pharmacy and College of Nursing train students body of young men and women in pharmacy and nursing with a programme in community health. WH MMC also conducts recognized training programmes for paramedical professionals who play an important role in day today modern health care. These includes courses in Medical Radiation Technology, Medical Records Technology, Medical Laboratory Technology, Perfusion Technology, EKG-Cath Lab Technology, Dialysis Technology, Anaesthesia Technology and Respiratory Technology. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

A) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR POSTGRADUATE

DIPLOMA COURSES OF C.P.S. BOMBAY.

* MBBS

* Internship completion certificate.

* Must be registered with Maharashtra Medical Council,

Mumbai.

* Must secure good marks in common Entrance Test and

personal interviews.

* Indian Nationals only.

B) ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR DIPLOMATE NATIONAL

BOARD OF EXAMINATIONS (DNB), NEW DELHI.

* MBBS

* Internship completion certificate

* Must be registered with the state medical council/ Medical

Council of India.

* Preference will be given to post diploma completed candidates.

* Must secure good marks in common Entrance Test and

personal interviews.

* Must be an Indian national.

C) ADMISSION REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL NURSING (GNM)

AND POST CERTIFICATE B.Sc. (NURSING).

a) GENERAL NURSING :

* A student having successfully completed 10+2 examination

preferably in Science subjects.

* Minimum 50% marks English

* Age: 17 to 22 years

* Must be an Indian national

b) FOR POST CERTIFICATE B.Sc. (Nursing) / BASIC NURSING :

-- completed General Nursing Course

-- minimum three years experience after General Nursing

-- must be enrolled with Maharashtra Nursing Council.

D) ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR DIPLOMA IN CLINICAL

PHARMACY (D. Pharm.)

* Students having completed 10+2 examination with Science subjects

and minimum 50% marks in English.

A. MOBILE EYE HOSPITAL PROJECT - MEHP:

Established in 1969 with partnership with Christoffel Blinds Mission (CBM).

Works in 20 villages doing FREE EYE CAMP.

Blindness awareness programme and catract surgeries per annum over than 3000 eye operations performed.

B. DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY HEALTH - DCH:

DCH is working in 12 rural areas and 3 urban areas covering radius of 30 kms. with population of over than 1 lakh provides:

Preventive Promotive Health Programme.
Health Awareness Programme.
Primary Health Care.
Counseling Programme.
School Check-up immunization.
Women Empowerment Programmes.
Foster Parent Child Programme.

C. CHAPLIANCY AND COUNSELLING CENTER:

CCC is taking care of spiritual need of MMC.
Conducts Annual Retreats, Youth Rally, VBS, Staff Seminars.

D. DIAGNOSTIC CAMPS:
